about
Emma Pillow is a Manhattan, NYC-based actress & singer who specializes in both on-camera and stage performance. Her strong background in musical theater and distinct aptitude for screen acting makes her an incredibly versatile and adaptable performer, who always brings a positive & professional attitude wherever she goes!
Born & raised in Dallas, TX, Emma’s love for performing started in middle school at Dallas Young Artists musical theater camp, where she began to hone her professional skills under the mentorship of some of the city’s best regional theater professionals. She then went on to obtain her BFA in Musical Theater at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA, where she had the pleasure of participating in the Polyphone Theater Festival and collaborating with a wide variety of emerging artists on the development of new musicals. Upon completing her undergrad degree in 2019, Emma packed up and moved to NYC, where (after a brief pandemic-induced hiatus) she decided to shift her focus to include on-camera acting work as well.
Over the years, Emma has worked on all kinds of projects, from developmental musical readings to classical plays to background work on network TV shows. She most recently appeared in an episode of Investigation Discovery’s Mean Girl Murders (now streaming!), and also starred in an indie short film, Pauline+Mary, set to be released later this year. When she isn’t performing, you might catch her at her part time job greeting clients at the front desk of Open Jar Studios, attending a class at MN Acting Studio, or just walking down the streets of Manhattan really, really fast.
A strong believer in the transformative power of art, Emma’s genuine passion for all forms storytelling is what continues to motivate her every day. As her career continues to grow, she hopes to inspire, delight, challenge, and move audiences with her work. Check out her resume for more details!
